🔌 Option 1: USB Card Reader Setup (Recommended!)
Best for:
D3 Pro, Samsung Tab Pro, and other One Screen Solution tablets.
1. Plug in the Reader
- Connect the USB-C end to the Stripe M2 Reader.
- Plug the USB-A end into the Anker adapter connected to your tablet.
- Keep the reader plugged in all day to maintain power and connection.
2. Power On
- Press and release the reader’s power button.
- The reader will beep twice and LED lights will turn on.
3. Connect in joe POS
- Open the joe POS app.
- Tap the Gear icon (left sidebar).
- Navigate to:
Settings > Card Readers - Select “Reader M2 USB” > tap Add Card Reader (USB).
- When prompted, tap “Pair”.
4. Confirm Connection
- Reader LEDs flash 4 times.
- Then the first LED blinks every 5 seconds, indicating a successful connection.
5. Final Steps
- ✅ Check for firmware updates.
- ✅ Run a test charge to confirm functionality.
🔌 Option 2: Bluetooth Card Reader Setup
⚠️ Important: Fully charge the reader (100%) before pairing.
1. Prepare the Reader
- Turn Bluetooth ON on your tablet.
- Place the reader in its charging cradle (cradle must be plugged into power).
- Press and release the reader’s power button.
- The LEDs light up and the reader beeps twice.
⏳ Reader will stay in Bluetooth pairing mode for 5 minutes, then power off if idle.
2. Connect in joe POS
- Open the joe POS app.
- Tap the Gear icon in the left sidebar.
- Navigate to:
- Settings > Card Readers
- Select “Reader M2 Bluetooth” > tap Add Card Reader (Bluetooth).
When the reader appears, tap “Pair” on the Bluetooth pop-up.
3. Confirm Connection
- Reader LEDs flash 4 times.
