The iMin Falcon 2 Device allows you to accept contactless payments easily. You can use it as:
- A customer-facing screen, or
- A one-screen solution for order entry and payment collection.
Below are step-by-step instructions for enabling Tap to Pay and switching payment flows as needed.

💡 What this does:
When enabled, any time you select Credit/Debit, your customer screen will automatically display NFC Tap to Pay, prompting customers to tap their card or device.
✅ Step 2: Enable NFC for Customer-Facing Screen
If you are setting up a Customer Mode device, follow these steps:
- Login to Your Account
- Sign in with your Email and Password.
- Select Customer Mode
- Choose Customer Mode to set up the customer-facing experience.
- Enter Device Name
- Enter a name for this screen (e.g., Customer Display).
- Pair Device to Barista Screen
- Follow the prompts to connect it to your main Barista device.
- Enable Tap to Pay
- Make sure the Enable Tap to Pay option is turned ON.
This ensures your customer screen is ready to accept NFC payments seamlessly.
🔄 Switching to Card Reader Flow
Some cards (for example, those issued by BECU, ACU, smaller credit unions, or older cards) do not support Tap to Pay.
If the customer’s card doesn’t have contactless:
- On the payment screen, tap Switch to Card Reader.
- The device will prompt the customer to insert or swipe the card instead.
Tips for a Smooth Experience
- Keep the Device Charged: Ensure your Falcon 2 is connected to power or fully charged during service hours.
- Check NFC Placement: Advise customers to hold their card or phone flat against the NFC area until they see confirmation.
- Update Software: Always keep your app and firmware up to date for the latest improvements.
🖥️ One Screen Mode
The One Screen Solution lets you run your entire order and payment workflow on a single iMin Falcon 2 device—no separate customer screen required.
Follow these steps to enable NFC and set Tap to Pay as your primary payment method:
✅ Step: Enable NFC During Onboarding for One Screen Solution
- Login to Your Account
- Sign in using your Email and Password.
- (Note: Soon you’ll be able to log in using your cell phone number.)
- Select Barista Mode
- Tap Barista Mode to configure your device.
- Enter Device Name
- Assign a name to this register (e.g., Front Counter POS).
- Enable One Screen Mode
- Go to Settings > Features.
- Toggle One Screen Mode ON.
✅ Result:
Your device is now ready to accept Tap to Pay as the primary payment method, allowing you to take contactless payments directly on your Falcon 2 without additional hardware.
Helpful Tip
If you need to fall back to a connected card reader for non-contactless cards, you can still connect a Stripe M2 Card Reader via USB or Bluetooth and Switch to Card Reader Flow at checkout.

✅ Best Practices for Using the iMin Falcon 2 Base
- Use the Provided Charger:
Always plug in the base using the stock charger supplied by our partner. Using other chargers may damage the device or prevent proper charging. - Magnetic Docking:
The base is designed with a magnetic connection, allowing baristas to easily lift the tablet off the base and place it back for charging without hassle. - Return to Charge:
Always remember to place the tablet back on the base when not in use to ensure it stays charged and ready for the next transaction.
