Restore Internet via 5G Hotspot (Samsung A9+ 5G Customer Screen)
Purpose
When the café’s main Wi-Fi is down, use the customer-facing 5G screen as a hotspot and reconnect the barista screen so the Joe App can stay online for daily operations.
Step 1 — Turn On Hotspot from the Customer Screen (5G)
- On the Customer Screen, go to the Home Screen.
- Open the Grey Settings app.
- Tap: Connections → Mobile Hotspot and Tethering → Mobile Hotspot.
Set up the hotspot:
- Hotspot Name (SSID): Joe
- Password: JoeAdmin!!
- Turn Mobile Hotspot ON.
- Ensure Wi-Fi is turned OFF on the customer screen so it runs through 5G instead of the café’s main network.
✅ Result: The customer screen is now sharing its 5G data connection.
Step 2 — Connect the Barista Screen to “Joe”
- On the Barista Screen, press Home to return to the main menu.
- Open the Grey Settings icon.
- Tap: Network & Internet → Wi-Fi.
- Disconnect from the main café network (if still connected).
- Select Joe from the list of available networks.
- Enter the password: JoeAdmin!!
- Tap Connect.
✅ Result: Status shows Connected / Internet available.
Step 3 — Reconnect the Joe App
- Open the Joe App on the barista screen.
- Tap the Wi-Fi icon in the bottom-left corner.
- Confirm the app shows Connected.
Once connected, resume normal operations.
Step 4 — If Still No Internet (Troubleshooting)
- Confirm Wi-Fi is OFF on the customer screen (to ensure it’s using 5G).
- Wait 10–15 seconds for the hotspot to refresh.
- Retry connecting the barista screen to the Joe hotspot.
If still offline:
- Restart the Joe App, or
- Restart the Barista Screen, then reconnect.
✅ Result: Both screens are online and the Joe App resumes normal operation.
Restore Internet via 5G Hotspot (Falcon 2 Customer Screen)
Purpose
When the café’s main Wi-Fi network goes down, use the Falcon 2 Customer Screen (with built-in 5G) to create a hotspot and reconnect the Barista Screen so the Joe App stays online for orders and payments.
Step 1 — Turn On Hotspot from Falcon 2 Customer Screen (5G)
- On the Falcon 2 Customer Screen, go to the Home Screen.
- Ensure Wi-Fi is turned OFF so the device uses its 5G mobile data connection.
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap: Network & Internet → Hotspot & Tethering → Wi-Fi Hotspot.
Set up the hotspot:
- Hotspot Name (SSID): Joe
- Password: JoeAdmin!!
- Security: Set to WPA2 only (do not use WPA3)
- Turn Wi-Fi Hotspot ON.
- Double-check that Wi-Fi remains OFF to confirm it’s using 5G for internet.
✅ Result: The Falcon 2 Customer Screen is now broadcasting its 5G hotspot.
Step 2 — Connect the Barista Screen to “Joe”
- On the Barista Screen, press Home to return to the main menu.
- Open the Grey Settings icon.
- Tap: Network & Internet → Wi-Fi.
- Disconnect from the main café network (if still connected).
- Select Joe from the list of available networks.
- Enter the password: JoeAdmin!!
- Tap Connect.
✅ Result: Wait until it shows Connected / Internet available.
Step 3 — Reconnect the Joe App
- Open the Joe App on the barista screen.
- Tap the Wi-Fi icon in the bottom-left corner.
- Confirm it shows Connected.
Once the connection is active, resume normal café operations.
Step 4 — If Still No Internet (Troubleshooting)
On the Falcon 2 Customer Screen, verify:
- Wi-Fi is OFF.
- 5G mobile data is active.
- Hotspot Security is set to WPA2 (not WPA3).
Wait 10–15 seconds for the hotspot to refresh.
Retry connecting the Barista Screen to Joe.
If still offline:
- Restart the Joe App, or
- Restart the Barista Screen, then repeat Step 2.
✅ Result: Both devices are online, and the Joe App resumes normal operations.
