This feature allows baristas to apply discounts to customers order with a swift tap of a button at checkout. You can implement a discount to an entire order or to an individual item at Checkout.

To properly implement the discount you will need to enter a note before applying a discount as it won't allow you to move forward without it. When selecting Entire Order button it will remove the option to select individual items and discount will be applied to the order total rather than an item.

Things to consider when applying a discount.

1. At checkout, tap the Add Discount button located just above the customer name
2. The Add Discount modal will open, as seen below
3. Enter a Note for the Discount as it helps track the reason or campaign for discount
4. Choose from a dollar incremental discount ($1, $2, $5, $10), percentage incremental discounts (10%, 25%, 50% and 100%) or a custom amount of your choosing
5. Tap confirm to add discount to the order

To simply remove a discount do the following:

1. At checkout, tap the Add Discount button located just above the customer name
2. Then select the items the discount is applied too
3. Then select Remove Discount and Confirm

Additional information:

You will be able to apply a discount and promo code to the same order. Things to consider is that an item can not have both a promo code and a discount applied. Remember a Promo Code is intended to be used for a campaign rather than daily operational needs. The Discount Feature is intended to be available for your day to day checkout needs.
