What's New on Joe: October 2026
Release 1.4.0 · October 2026
This is a small release. Your home page now opens on your numbers, scheduled discounts start and end on time, and new-patron promo codes reach everyone they're meant for. Former owners also get a full set of Accounting reports. Nothing changes at checkout, with payments, or with how patrons earn rewards.

Your Home Page Opens on Your Numbers
When you log in, the first thing you see is now how your shop is doing and what Joe is bringing in. There's no monthly fee and no contract to renew with Joe, so we want your numbers in front of you every time you log in, not a few clicks away.
- Your numbers come first. The home page opens on a snapshot of your business, built from the same data as your Reports.
- Setup moves to a progress bar. Your setup tasks are now in a progress bar at the top of the home page. Expand it to see the steps. Once every step is done, it goes away.
- Same view on your phone. Logging in on a phone now takes you to the home page too.
Tip: if the last day or two look low, those days may still be filling in. Check back tomorrow, and if something still looks off, send us the date and we'll take a look.
Scheduled Discounts Start and End on Time
When a discount had a start or end date, your menus didn't always update at that moment. A discount could show up late or stay on the menu after it ended. Menus on the app and at the counter now update right when a discount starts and right when it ends.
If you saw a discount start late or linger past its end date, that should now be resolved.
New-Patron Promo Codes Reach the Right Patrons
If you run a promo code for new patrons, it was turning away some patrons who qualified, including people whose first app order came after the promo was set up. They now get the promo, so you may see more redemptions from new patrons.
Good to know: this applies to orders from this release on. Patrons who were turned away before the fix won't have past orders re-priced, but they can use the code again now.
Accounting Reports for Former Owners
If you're a former owner of a shop on Joe and can still sign in to view its reports, your Reports menu now has an Accounting group with nine reports:
- Daily Sales (opens by default)
- Fees Statement
- Gift Card Liability
- Month End Close
- Payouts and Deposits
- Program Rewards Statement
- Refunds and Adjustments
- Sales Tax Report
- Payouts By Arrival Date
These replace the older Banking reports. Payout By Arrival Date is now Payouts By Arrival Date inside Accounting. Transaction Overview and Transaction Summary are no longer available to former owners, which matches what current managers see. The Tips report isn't available to former owners.
Current owners and managers: nothing changes in your Reports menu.
What Stayed The Same
- Checkout and payments
- How patrons earn rewards points
- The screens in the Joe app your patrons use
- Your logins and passwords
- The Reports menu for current owners and managers
If something not listed here seems different, let us know and we'll look into it.
