Merchant Dashboard v1.1.8
Released August 31, 2026
You can't cut marketing waste you can't see.
Every month, independent shops like yours put hard-earned dollars toward marketing, whether that's a weekly promo, a rewards offer, a few social posts, or a chalkboard sign by the door.
Knowing which of those efforts actually turned into patrons at your counter isn't always an easy feat. This update is designed to help easily see the impact of those initiatives so the money you invest in your shop can work just as hard as you do.
The TLDR: We added a new Growth Attribution report, renamed the Marketing tab to Growth, and reordered the reports in that tab so the answers you need most come first. These changes only affect your reports. Nothing changes at your counter or for your patrons.
What's New
A New Growth Attribution Report
Growth Attribution shows you which channels and efforts are behind your growth. Pair it with Cost of Marketing Influenced Sales and you'll have two answers side by side: where your growth came from, and what it cost to get there.
- Where to find it: Manager → Reports → Growth → Growth Attribution
- Filters: use the same date and store filters you already use on every other report
Marketing Is Now Growth
The Marketing tab under Reports is now called Growth, because that's what these reports are here to help you measure. Only the name changed. All of your reports are still there at the same addresses, so your bookmarks and shared links will keep working.
A New Report Sequence
We reordered the Growth tab so where your growth came from and what it cost come first:
- Growth Attribution NEW
- Cost of Marketing Influenced Sales MOVED UP FROM LAST
- Patron Acquisition
- Marketing Revenue
- Loyalty Balance
A New Starting Point
When you open the Growth tab, you'll now land on Growth Attribution instead of Patron Acquisition.
How to Read It
Think of attribution as a model, not a receipt. It points you to where to look rather than telling you what to conclude. Keep in mind that data from the last day or two may still be filling in.
Here's a good place to start:
- Set your date range to last month.
- Note which channel led in Growth Attribution.
- Open Cost of Marketing Influenced Sales for the same dates.
- Look for any spend that isn't showing up as growth. That's a great place to start asking questions.
What Stayed The Same
Everything below works just as it did before:
- The JOE Patron app: your patrons won't notice any difference
- Your POS and checkout
- Your pricing and discounts
- How patrons earn rewards and loyalty points
- The data in your existing reports and how often it refreshes
- Report addresses, permissions, and account settings
You know your shop best. Growth Attribution is simply one more tool to help you read it. The decisions are always yours, and we're here to support you along the way.
