Patron Acquisition

This shows first-time Patrons at your shop and the channel that brought them in — each Patron counted once, based on how they first found you.

What counts as "new"
A Patron is new when their very first order at your shop falls within the period you've selected — not just their first order this month.

Channels
Each new Patron is credited to exactly one of four channels, based on where their first order or loyalty activation happened:

• In Person
• Marketplace
• Mobile
• Online Ordering

Since these channels never overlap, the numbers always add up cleanly — the chart, the table, and the New Patrons tile will always match.

FAQ

Why isn't Loyalty Balance a channel?
Stored balance is a way to pay, not a place a Patron came from. If a Patron's first order was paid with stored balance, they're still credited to whatever channel that order happened through.

A regular Patron just joined loyalty — does that make them "new"?
Only if this period includes their very first order ever. Joining loyalty as an existing Patron doesn't count as becoming a new Patron.
