Marketing Revenue
This report shows sales influenced by Joe's marketing programs and the Joe marketplace.
What are Marketing Influenced Sales?
Sales from Patrons Joe helped attract, retain, or activate — shown including sales tax.
Four segments make up that number, always in this order. Their sum is your Marketing Influenced Sales:
- Marketplace — sales from patrons who found your shop through the Joe marketplace
- Mobile Orders — mobile orders from patrons activated at your shop
- Loyalty Balance — sales paid with stored balance or shop gift cards
- In-Person Loyalty — in-person sales from patrons participating in loyalty (like entering a phone number at checkout)
The Patron Segment Performance table adds a fifth dataset — Non-Opt-In (sales from Patrons that aren't participating in the Loyalty program) — along with orders per Patron, total Patrons, average order size, and average sales per Patron.
FAQ
Do the four tiles add up to the Marketing Influenced Sales?
Yes, exactly. The tiles on the right are Marketing Influenced Sales split four ways, pulled from the same source.
Why isn't there a total row on the Patron Segment Performance table?
Patron activity can overlap across segments, so a total row could double the count for some patrons. We're leaving it out until our logic to prevent this is finalized.
How is this different from Loyalty-Attributed Sales?
Loyalty-Attributed Sales is the pre-tax figure defined in your Terms and shown on your monthly Rewards Program Statement. Marketing Revenue is broader — it also includes marketplace discovery — and is shown including sales tax.
