Growth is now Marketing
We renamed this section so everything — screens, exports, and help articles — uses the same names:
| Old name | New name |
|---|---|
| Growth | Marketing |
| Loyalty Revenue | Marketing Revenue |
| Promotions and Discounts | Cost of Marketing Influence Sales |
| New Loyal Customers | Patron Acquisition |
Any old links or bookmarks will redirect automatically — nothing is lost.
What's inside: four reports covering the revenue Joe drives, what it costs, where new patrons come from, and your stored-balance activity.
A few things to know
Sales figures include tax. When Joe reimburses a reward, we cover the goods value and the sales tax — so patrons get the full reward and your shop gets full value. Since Joe covers that tax, Marketing reports show figures tax-inclusive to match. Need pre-tax numbers for your books? Head to your Accounting reports.
One number, one source. Tiles and tables now pull from the same source, so they'll always match. If a number looks slightly different than before, that's this fix at work — nothing changed in your actual sales.
Easier to use. Every report opens to the last 30 days, includes a Store filter, and has an ⓘ next to each tile explaining what it means.
FAQ
Why did some numbers change after the update?
- We fixed tiles and tables pulling from two different queries. Now they always agree. Your transactions themselves haven't changed — just how we calculate the display.
Where did the ROI widgets and benchmark strip go?
- We removed metrics that didn't show their math. Instead, Cost of Marketing Influence Sales now has a Return on Marketing section that shows every number behind each ratio.
Why is Marketing tax-inclusive if my books are pre-tax?
- Because Joe covers the sales tax on reimbursed rewards, we measure marketing impact tax-inclusive. For bookkeeping and filing, use Accounting reports — they have your pre-tax lines and full tax detail.
