How do I create a new menu item?

Looking to update your menu with new season items? We've got you covered!

For efficiency and accuracy, we recommend duplicating an existing menu item that is similar, then making adjustments to modifiers and prices.

Duplicating a Menu Item

1. Log in to your joe Merchant Manager
2. From the left hand menu, select the Storefront tab, followed by Edit Details to take you to your digital store detains
3. Choose Menu Settings.
4. You will see you Active Menu listed, choose the red Edit Menu button
5. Select the specific Menu Category you would like to edit, such as Hot Drinks, Cold Drinks, or Food
6. With your menu open, locate a similar item that you want to duplicate. Select the menu item to open the details
   1. Tip: Latte, Mochas, and Blended drinks are the most common drinks that can be duplicated for specialty drinks!
7. Select the orange Duplicate icon on the right side of the menu item to create a copy of that item
8. Within the copy, update the following to create your unique new item:
   1. Item name
   2. Description
   3. Prices
   4. Modifiers
   5. Item image
9. Save 

Creating a Menu Item from Scratch

1. With your menu open, select the category tab you would like to add your new item (Hot Drinks, Cold Drinks, Food )
2. Find the category you want the item to placed under
3. Select the orange + New Item icon to add a new menu item to your desired category. A new untitled item will be added.
4. Add all the important info:
   1. Item name
   2. Description
   3. Prices
   4. Modifiers
   5. Item image
5. Save
