Note: If your barista has not yet created a barista role identity in joe, start here!

Clocking In to Start a Shift

1. In the Barista Management Tool, tap the desired barista profile
   1. If the barista is not yet set up with a role identity, follow these instructions
2. Enter your unique 4-digit PIN number
3. Tap Clock-In and confirm to begin your shift
4. Now that you are clocked in, all credit card and mobile ordering tips will be automatically divided among staff on shift and tracked under your profile.

Tipping Out to End a Shift

1. In the Barista Management Tool, tap the desired barista profile
2. Enter your unique 4-digit PIN number to see your tips earned
3. Optional - Count up and manually enter cash tips
4. Tap Tip Out
   1. Cash out at the register - if your shop pulls credit card tips from the cash drawer and has tip out from cash till turned on, cash drawer will open and a confirmation page will be prompted, baristas will pull the total tips
   2. Tips on payroll - if your shop adds credit card tips to a baristas payroll, the cash drawer will remain closed
5. Tap Tip Out then Clock Out, followed by Confirm so your profile no longer collects and tracks tips
