Who is responsible for paying for promotions and loyalty rewards?
joe invests heavily in personalized promotions, offers, and tools to encourage customers to try out joe, then keep new users coming in to your shop more often and with larger ticket averages. Personalized offers and joe sponsored promotions come out of our pocket and you will see reimbursement amount in your reports as "Reward Reimbursement".
joe loyalty simulates the "buy 10 drinks get 1 free" program most common across the coffee industry, but is determined by the dollar spent. Spending $65 through the app earns a customer a free drink, up to a $6 value. As of September 2024, joe now covers the cost of reward redemptions and the sales tax on those redemptions.
Do I pay commission on tips?
Yes. For orders, your processing rate is charged to the total ticket which includes tips. However, processing fee, which you would normally pay for tips processed through credit cards, is also included in that.
What is the best way to pay out my baristas for tips made on joe?
As the shop owner, how you divide tips to baristas is up to you. However, we recommend pooling the tips, dividing the tip total by the hours worked for each barista, and adding that total to the barista's paycheck.
How do I calculate reports for a specific item sold?
Our Inventory reporting can be found under Insights>Inventory in Merchant Manager. We have a variety of reports and filters so you can find the specific dates, items, and sales you are looking for.
