Load Funds - Square Gift Card Transition 

Objective: The customer walks in and has been gifted a Physical Gift Card from their family and friends. Now it’s time for the customers to transfer their balance to their joe Account during their transactions. 

Transfer Flow: 

1. Customer walks in and begins ordering their drink and food! 
2. The customers mention to you that they want to pay with their physical Gift Card 
3. Square Process: 
   1. Grab the Square Gift Card from the customer and activate Square on the iPad below the Point of Sale System
   2. Tap the Gift Card icon then Swipe the Gift Card using the white Square Reader 
   3. The Gift Card Balance will now appear on the Square System 
4. Joe POS Process: 
   1. Upon confirming the Gift Card Balance you will ask the customer to enter their phone number on the customer facing screen
   2. Go to Checkout Screen: 
      1. Select Load Funds 
      2. Enter the Amount the Gift Card value shown on Square
      3. Select Grant Store Credit 
      4. Then Tap Confirm 
5. Return to Square: 
   1. Select Clear Balance 
   2. Select Cash Out 
   3. Select Clear Balance
6. Then continue the order process as normal. 
7. Upon selecting Gift Card as Payment Method the customer will receive a text with their 4 digit Pin which can also be found in the joe App Wallet. Review article here! 

Benefits: 

1. Customer now has their balance associated with their phone number - they can use the Gift Card balance to pay at register or order ahead 
2. Shop you can now resell and reuse the gift cards for another customer in the future.
