Setting Up Ticket Print Tasks: New Features and Options
With the latest update to the POS system, you now have more control and flexibility over your printer settings. Here's a simple and precise guide on how to set up and customize your ticket print tasks:
New Printer Tab now includes additional options to help you manage your settings more effectively:
- Printer Name - You can now see the name of the printer connected to your POS system. This makes it easier to identify and manage your printers.
- Task Type - allows you to choose what type of task you want your printer to perform. Click on the drop-down menu and select from the following options:
- Receipt: Prints the receipt for the order on every order. If you only want to print a receipt when the customer wants one, don't add the task here - you can print from the completed order screen for these.
- Item Ticket: This task is to print tickets for items purchased. The Individual ticket type is the default option, and it will print an individual ticket for whichever categories you select like hot drinks, cold drinks, food, and upsells. If you want all items for an order printed on a single ticket, select the Merged option.
- Cash Drawer: Allows you to designate a specific printer to send the command to open the cash drawer, streamlining cash handling.
- Till Report: Prints a Cash Till Report with a detailed summary of the day’s cash transactions, helping with shift balancing.
- Saved Ticket: Manages saved tickets and prints them seamlessly according to the printer settings.
- End of Night Report: Prints the End of Night report directly from the POS, offering a physical record of daily transactions and cash flow for better bookkeeping.
- Printer Size - You can now choose your printer’s size between 80mm or 57mm, depending on the type of paper you're using.
To test your new printer settings, simply tap the "..." in the left-hand corner of the Printer Settings menu and select Print. This will allow you to verify if everything is working correctly. If you have any questions about printer settings, reach out to our support team at success@joe.coffee.
