1a - Connecting a Bluetooth Printer

  1. Connect your printer to power and turn on
  2. On your joe POS, select the Gear icon from the left menu sidebar to open joe Settings
  3. Tap Printers > Connect via Bluetooth
  4. Nearby Printers pop up window will open > tap the desired printer name, followed by Add Printer
    1. Note: Your printer is defaulted to print both a receipt and itemized ticket for ever order. Tap the pencil icon to edit these defaulted print tasks.

1b - Connecting a USB Printer

  1. Connect your printer to power and turn on
  2. On your joe POS, select the Gear icon from the left menu sidebar to open joe Settings
  3. Tap Printers.
  4. Scroll left to USB Printer, then tap Add USB Printer
  5. Nearby Printers pop up window will open > tap the desired printer name, followed by Add Printer
    1. Note: Your printer is defaulted to print both a receipt and itemized ticket for ever order. Tap the pencil icon to edit these defaulted print tasks.

  1. Connect your printer to power and turn on
  2. On your joe POS, select the Gear icon from the left menu sidebar to open joe Settings
  3. Scroll left all the way to Ethernet Printer, then tap Add Ethernet Printer
  4. Nearby Printers pop up window will open > tap the desired printer name, followed by Add Printer
    1. Note: Your printer is defaulted to print both a receipt and itemized ticket for ever order. Tap the pencil icon to edit these defaulted print tasks.


Receipts vs Order Tickets: Setting up Print Tasks

Your printer is defaulted to print both a receipt and itemized ticket for ever order. To adjust, tap the pencil icon to edit these defaulted print tasks.


  1. To edit your pre-populated print tasks, tap the pencil icon.
  2. To add new print tasks tap the Add Task button and select
    1. Receipt - details entire order on one receipt
    2. Item Ticket - prints individual receipts for every item in the order 
      1. If you select Item Ticket, choose the Ticket Type (Individual or Merged) and the categories for the ticket
  3. Save.
  4. To test your new printer settings: 
    1. Tap the "..." in the left hand corner of the Printer Settings followed by Print
