I love the app and mission. How do I get the word out?

When you refer friends to the app, you get 500 points and they'll get $3 off the first time the order. You can share your link on social, via SMS, and email. To share your link, tap your profile image from the loyalty tab and select "Share and earn 500 points"


In addition to telling fellow coffee lovers, we encourage customers to tell coffee shop owners and baristas about joe. Today, that's the #1 way we bring on new coffee shops.


Do coffee shops pay high fees when I order?

Unlike other 3rd party apps, we don't charge outlandish fees. In fact, coffee shops on joe don't pay any subscriptions and our usage based pricing is only charged on the services that grow their business. We are able to keep costs low for shops by charging consumers a reasonable convenience fee that is waived when you preload $10 or more to the app.


How do I avoid paying fees when I order ahead?

To keep costs as low as possible for coffee shop owners, we charge a small convenience fee so we can keep the lights on. To waive this fee, simply load a balance and pay from that balance.


What perks come with the VIP Rewards Card?

When you load a balance to the rewards card you can pay at any shop on the app without paying any convenience fees. Additionally, you get 2x points on every purchase.


What perks come with loading a balance to a company loyalty card?

Similar to the VIP Rewards Card, you waive the convenience fee when you order ahead, you get 2x points on every purchase. Additionally, shops send deals and special offers to customers and pay special attention to customers that prepay using the card.


If a coffee shop is running on the joe Point-of-Sale, you get additional reward benefits for in-person orders when you pay from a balance as well:

  • Get 2x points on in-person orders when paying from your loaded balance. You can access this balance with your app, on a physical loyalty card, and by using your phone number and PIN at the point-of-sale.
  • Earn bonus points on special days of the week automatically
  • Get access to free drinks when you load certain amounts
  • Receive more special deals and offers from the shop

I loaded a balance, but now there are now shops nearby that accept joe. What do I do?

If you loaded a balance to the joe VIP Rewards card, we can issue you a full refund when you send a written request to help@joe.coffee. Include the subject line: "Refund joe VIP Reward Balance".


If you loaded a balance to a specific shop or company, we have already sent them the money and they are liable for all balance refunds the same as any other card load program by law.


I want to use joe at more shops around me. What can I do?

We're purpose-driven business focused on bringing local coffee together to grow the pie for all small businesses on the platform. We typically grow through word of mouth when coffee lovers like you suggest it to coffee shops and when owners and baristas tell other coffee pros.
