How to import data into ADP
Example: Importing a Report into ADP
1. Generate Report:
- Action: Log in to the Joe Operating System, navigate to the "Reports" section, select "Time and Attendance," and set the date range for the desired two-week period.
- Outcome: The system generates a detailed report of all time and attendance data for the specified period.
2. Review and Export:
- Action: Review the generated report for accuracy. Once confirmed, export the report in a compatible format, such as CSV or Excel (.xlsx).
- Outcome: The report file is saved on your computer, ready for import into ADP.
3. Access ADP and Import Data:
- Action: Log in to your ADP account and navigate to the "Payroll" or "Time and Attendance" section. Look for the "Import Data" or "File Import" feature.
- Steps:
- Click on "Import Data" and select the type of data you are importing (e.g., "Time and Attendance").
- Upload the saved report file by following the prompts, selecting the file from your computer.
- Map the fields from the imported file to the corresponding fields in ADP if necessary.
4. Verify and Finalize Payroll:
- Action: Review the imported data within ADP to ensure all hours, tips, and adjustments are correctly recorded. Make any necessary edits.
- Outcome: Once verified, finalize the payroll to ensure accurate employee compensation for the two-week period.
