Create and Edit a Customer Rewards Profile

joe Merchant Manager now allows coffee shop owners the ability to create a new Rewards Customer Profile, or edit an existing Customer Rewards Profiles, from a mobile device or desktop.

With customers a part of your Rewards program, their contact information is automatically enrolled into your coffee shop CRM (customer relationship manager) meaning that you as a shop owner are able to include them in automatic campaigns, send direct messages to them about recent reviews, and use more of joe's marketing tools to reach them.

In addition to adding new Rewards Customer Profiles, you as an owner can edit existing profiles. In case of sub-par experiences, you can grant customer's credit to use as a balance at your store, you can grant them additional points toward free drinks.

We will review both scenarios below

Creating a New Customer Reward Profile

  1. Log in to your Merchant Manager at, or from the My Joe page of your joe Coffee app, tap your Profile Picture in the top right hand corner followed by Owner Mode to take you to your Merchant Portal
  2. From the Navigation Menu, select the Customers Tab followed by Customers from the categories tabs at the top of the screen
  3. Tap Create Customer
  4. Required Input the following:
    1. First Name & Last Name
    2. Phone Number
  5. Optional - Input the following
    1. Email Address (Optional)
    2. Grant Reward Balance - for them to use at your shop!
    3. Grant Reward Points - to kickstart their progress to a free drink!
  6. Save

Editing a Customer Reward Profile

  1. From the Customers Tab of your Merchant Manager
  2. Scroll or use the Search bar to find the desired customer profile, you can search with either the customer's name or phone number
  3. Tap the Pencil Icon to edit the customer info
  4. Edit information
    1. Name
    2. Phone Number
    3. Email
    4. Reward Points
    5. Reward Balance
  5. If you can’t find your customer you can select “Create Customer” and follow the steps above.

Note: The functionality of adding points or granting store credit is only available to coffee shop owners on Merchant Manager. It is not available on the point of sale, to prevent any abuse.
