How to require "Open Cash Till"

Require "Open Cash Till"

With joe Point of Sale, "opening a till" at the beginning of the day is not required to accept orders. However, requiring baristas to "open a till" before accepting orders is industry best practice to ensure till accuracy, as well as helps with reconciliation at the end of a shift.To require an "opening cash till" follow these steps:

1. Tap the Settings tab from the left hand navigation menu
2. Select "Features Tab"
3. Turn toggle on to enable "Require Cash Till"

As seen in the graphic below, when enabled, this feature will produce an error if an order is placed in-person prior to the "opening cash till". If this error pops up, baristas will be directed to open their till.
