STATUS SCREEN 101

Welcome to joe Point of Sale - the POS system built specifically for the coffee industry. Before you're ready to take both in person and mobile orders, follow along these three steps to set up your hardware.

1 - How to Navigate the Status Screen

We build the menu to help shops have the ability to duplicate their ONLINE MENU but also to be  SUPER Intuitive for the baristas. In the menu item buttons you will notice key modifiers that only apply to COFFEE SHOPS that streamline the barista workflow. 

  1. Active Tab: 
    1. Order Status: All, In Progress, Scheduled, Curbside, Completed 
    2. Order Cards:  Customer Name, Phone number, items ordered, and pick up time 
    3. Add a Phone Number or Name to an IN - PERSON customers if they forget to add a number on customer screen
    4. Cancel Orders or Print Tickets by tapping the ... 3 dots nexts to "Mark as Ready" 
    5. Allow Baristas to Mark Mobile Orders to ACCEPT and mark Items as READY for IN PERSON customers
  2. Completed Tab: 
    1. You're last 100 Orders will be listed in the completed tab 
    2. When you tap on the order you will be able to print receipts and refund items 
    3. Refund Orders

2 - Filter available on Status Screen

The order status filters are now more accessible in the top right hand corner of the Order Status Screen. Easily adjustable for your team or back of the house staff, this will allow your team to swiftly enable or disable any filters to control the status screen from the tip of their finger.

  1. In Person Orders - Device Level: Only shows orders processed and accepted on this device ONLY on Order Status Screen. 
  2. Mobile Orders - Device Level: Only Display Mobile Orders on the Order Status Screen
  3. In Person Orders - Store Level: 100% of orders from any device paired to the Coffee Shop. Drive Thru, Mobile, Etc. (In - Person Orders - Device Level filter must be active)

3 - How to adjust Order Wait Time

Baristas can adjust Order Wait Time from a drop down menu just below the customer's name and profile picture.

  1. Update your joe Merchant Plus app to the latest version. 
  2. Tap the check mark icon in the left hand menu bar to take you to the Order Status Screen, where you will see all mobile orders.
  3. In the top right hand corner of the customer's Order Details Card, Order Wait Time is listed with a drop down menu. 
  4. Open the drop down menu to view longer wait time periods. Tap the desired Wait Time. A pop up window will appear, asking your baristas to confirm this longer wait time. 
  5. Select Confirm to officially adjust time, which will trigger a notification to the customer about their Order Wait time change

4. How to adjust Store Wait

  1. From the Order Status Screen, (check mark icon in the left hand menu bar), select the Store Wait Time drop down box in the top right hand corner
  2. Select your desired Wait Time, up to a 60 minute wait time
  3. Select your desired Duration, up to a 60 minute duration
  4. Save.

NOTE: After the duration has passed, your store wait time will return to the defaulted 5-10 minutes pickup window. 

Example: If you set your Store Wait Time to 15 - 20 minutes for a duration of 60 minutes, the Store Wait Time will default back to 5-10 minutes once the 60 minute duration has passed

5 - How to navigate the completed tab
