Issuing store loyalty through Manage Funds

From the "Manage Funds” button at checkout customers can reload their digital gift card balance. Additionally baristas can issue, or grant, customers store credit giving baristas, managers, and shop owners the opportunity to solve for poor experiences. Lastly, the manage funds button will allow baristas to issue a store credit to customers which is a temporary solution to store gift cards.

Loading a loyalty card

If a customer would like to purchase a loyalty card to your shop in-person, here's how:

  1. At checkout, the customer inputs their phone number into the loyalty screen facing them 
    1. Note: If this is a new customer who has just opted into the loyalty program you will see "New Joe User", add their fist name for the most personalized experience
  2. In the customer profile tap the "Manage Funds" button. 
  3. A pop-up will appear. Enter the dollar amount you would like to issue. 
    1. Example: Customer would like to load $25 to their account
  4. Note the two options "Purchase Loyalty" or "Issue Store Credit", tap "Purchase Loyalty" 
  5. Complete checkout for this purchase. The customers' loyalty balance will be available for them to use to pay on their next purchase, and they can track their balance in the joe app.

Adding a Store Credit

The shop is responsible for this store credit. Either the customer had a bad experience and you'd like to add a store credit to their account OR the employer would like to add a $10 balance to their employees account. Here's how:

  1. At checkout, the customer inputs their phone number into the loyalty screen facing them 
    1. Note: If this is a new customer who has just opted into the loyalty program you will see "New Joe User", add their fist name for the most personalized experience
  2. In the customer profile tap the "Manage Funds" button. 
  3. A pop-up will appear. Enter the dollar amount you would like to issue. 
    1. Example: As a thank you for your great Google Review, here's $10 to use at our shop
  4. Note the two options "Purchase Loyalty" or "Grant Store Credit", tap "Grant Store Credit" 
  5. Follow the on screen prompts, including adding the name of the barista issuing the credit and a note/reason for the issue.  The customers' loyalty balance will be available for them to use to pay on their next purchase, and they can track their balance in the joe app.
