Downloading joe Merchant Plus

iOS Devices

  1. Connect the iPad to your shop's reliable wifi source.
  2. Update settings to enable 'Stay awake': 
    1. In iPad Settings > Go to "Display & Brightness"  > Auto Lock > Choose "Never" 
  3. Download joe Merchant PLUS app from the iOS App Store
  4. Open joe Merchant PLUS and name the device. We recommend "[Shop Name] joe device". This will take you to a QR code.
  5. From your phone, log in to your joe Consumer App (the customer app used to place orders)
    Note: Your consumer account must have "owner status". If you do not have owner status, go to your merchant.joe.coffee > log in > Users > Invite your consumer app email as an "Owner". Or contact us at help@joe.coffee for assistance.
  6. On the consumer app select the My joe to take you to your profile
  7. Scroll down to the Merchant section followed by Merchant tablet pairing.
  8. Select your store location
  9. Scan the QR code on your device to instantly pair
  10. You will be given three different modes to choose from:
    1. Point of Sale Barista Facing
    2. Point of Sale Consumer Facing (joe POS only)
    3. Order Status Only 
  11. Select option a) Point of Sale Barista Facing
  12. This device is now set up to take in-person orders and accept mobile orders

Android Devices

  1. Connect the iPad to your shop's reliable wifi source
  2. Update settings to enable 'Stay awake': 
    1. In Settings > About tablet > Software information > Continuously tap Build number until you see "Developer mode turned on" > Return back to Settings > tap new Developer options at bottom of screen > toggle on "Stay awake"
  3. Download joe Merchant PLUS app from the Google Play store
  4. Open joe Merchant PLUS and name the device. We recommend "[Shop Name] joe device". This will take you to a QR code.
  5. From your phone, log in to your joe Consumer App (the customer app used to place orders)
